Hand Of Fate | A Card Game That Comes To Life on Kickstarter is very cool video-card game out of Australia. Defiant Development is video game based studio that has been operating for 3 ½ years now. They have worked on projects such as Heroes Call, Warco, and Ski Safari. They have been in a year long development cycle and are turning to Kickstarter for the remainder of the funds to hit the finish line.

Admittedly not having a  strong background in tabletop games, I can appreciate the direction Morgan Jaffert is moving towards. His passion for video and tabletop games led Defiant Development to create a new hybrid game that allows you to interact with a dealer and deck of cards. After playing the deck of cards, you will battle any situation that the cards depict. I love the customizable decks that allow you to create your own journey through Hand Of Fate.

A major plus for this project is credibility. As mentioned they are seasoned veterans in game development. Also, I love the fact that they are looking to Kickstarter to fund the last part of the project. In something like video games or software development, a budget for a project changes many times when the project is 20% complete instead of 80% complete. With 80% completion, I believe they will be able to deliver on time with the funds that they raise.

They are currently sitting at $27,000 AUD with 19 days to hit their $50,000 goal. I fully expect them to make this goal with your help.

THE STEAL – $20 AUD for a digital copy of the game on Mac or PC.
